The Bosco della Bella holiday village is located almost exactly halfway between the small Italian town of Luino on Lake Maggiore and the Swiss border town of Ponte Tresa on Ceresio (Lago di Lugano), on Swiss territory in the border town of Tresa / Monteggio
The holiday village was designed and built in the late 1950s and early 1960s for Projuventute Switzerland by none other than the well-known Zurich architect Justus Dahinden.
As soon as the village was completed, it was recognised as an architectural work of art far beyond the country's borders and is still featured in various architectural publications today.
