The Allmend Rheintal has a large green car park with a wonderful view of the Alpstein and Appenzellerland. The Rhine Valley is a very suitable area for extensive cycling and hiking tours. Registration and payment of the parking spaces can be made at the information box on the campsite. The magnificent historic town of Altstätten can be reached on foot in 25 minutes, the train station in 15 minutes. Shopping facilities are 500m away. The site is also ideal for excursions to nearby Alpstein, Appenzell, the Principality of Liechtenstein, the Rhine or Lake Constance.
