Zurich

The region of Zurich provides something for everybody. In the highlands (know as the “Zürcher Oberland”) every hiker finds his route, whether through the Tösstal valley or along the Zurich lake. If you are someone who likes more to admire the nature while relaxing, than a boat trip on the Zurich or Greifensee lake or the Rhein river might be perfect for you. But for all those who prefer more cultural sightseeings, than the historic city of Zurich or Winterthur could be the ideal option.Special highlights for young and old are, without doubt, the visitor terrace at the Zurich airport, at the great Zoo of Zurich or the ETH polyterrace.

Zürich-Oberland

The expansive unspoiled landscape extends from Lake Greifen and Lake Pfäffikon all the way to Tössbergland. Here towers the Schnebelhorn, the highest mountain in the Canton of Zurich at 1,292m, closely followed by the Bachtel and Hörnli, which are both more than 1,100m. From these peaks, hikers and cyclists can enjoy the mountain panorama across Zurich Oberland all the way to the Alps. Take a well-deserved break afterwards in one of the 27 mountain inns. There is also no shortage of culture and history in Zurich Oberland. Those interested in culture can explore the former textile stronghold of the 18th century, visit different museums or discover palaces, churches, castles, monasteries and convents.
