Bernese Midland

In the middle of the nature, but at the same time near the city as well: in the region of Bernese midland many campsites are doing their best to provide a perfect holiday-feeling for all tourists who like traveling with tents, campers or caravans. Starting from camping Eichholz, just a few minutes away from the Swiss capital and featuring a wonderful beach next to the Aare river, along to camping Burgistein (open the whole year) in the nature park Gantrisch – there are campsites for every taste. Whether doing it the sportif, the relaxed or more the urban way, in the region of Bernese midland you are always very close to nature, but still just a puddle jump away from the city.

Berner Jura

A region that has preserved natureBetween nature and traditions, characterised by its deep valleys, mountains with flowery grasslands and its steep peaks, the Bernese Jura is a place to escape to and popular for hiking and getting away to relax in all kinds of ways. The region’s highest peak is the Chasseral, the heart of the regional nature park; from the summit, which is 1,606.2 m above sea level, a magnificent 360° panorama offers a stunning view across the valleys, Alps and lakes. Discover the medieval town of La Neuveville on the shores of Lake Biel; from the port you can reach St. Peter’s Island and navigate on the three lakes (Biel, Neuchâtel and Morat). An innovative region The Bernes Jura is the birthplace of horology, an industry of precision known for its global impact and renewable energy sources. A region of tradition The Tête de Moine AOP, a famous cheese dating back more than 800 years, is served in the form of a rosette. It is the primary product and the most typical for the entire Jura region. An immense diversity just waiting to be discovered!
